Alper GİRGEÇ graduated from the Department of City and Regional Planning at Middle East Technical University (ODTÜ) in 1989.
After completing his military service, he began his career and retired in 2019. Following his retirement, he founded KA Mentoring, Education, Consultancy, and Project firm in March 2016, where he continues to provide mentoring, coaching, HR consultancy, and personality inventory work for entrepreneurs, institutions, and non-governmental organizations under the Ahi Mentor brand, where he is a founding partner.
He has been actively involved in civil society work since 1989 and currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of EKOLOG Ecological Life Entrepreneurs and Volunteers Association; Member of the Board responsible for Youth and Mentorship Projects at ÇYDD Mersin Branch; Consultant and Honorary Member responsible for Projects at the Mersin Entrepreneurs’ Businessmen Association (MERSİNGİAD); Mediterranean Regional Representative at the Human Resources Professional Cooperation Association (İKAMİD); as well as a member of the Mersin ODTÜ Alumni Association, İçel Art Club, Anatolian Management Consultants Association (AYDD), and GİDERİK Entrepreneurial Human Resources Association.
Additionally, he has been serving as the President of Mersin City Council since June 2024.
With a philosophy of lifelong learning, Alper GİRGEÇ is currently continuing his studies in the final year of the Sociology Department at Istanbul University.
